Call for Expression of Interest (EOI)

Established in 2002, Initiative Africa (IA) is a non-partisan civil society organization that works to contribute to a sustainable, just, and peaceful Ethiopia and Africa with opportunity for all. Since its re-registration, IA has teamed up with NGOs, associations, policymakers, and journalists to reducing poverty and inequality
through education and advocacy.

With the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa, IA has been implementing a three-year project titled “GENDER EQUALITY: Making Change Happen” since July 2018. The Making Change Happen project addresses gender empowerment programs that address social norms and behaviors change, seek out and build partnerships among organizations that work on gender issues, and develop programs that involve men and boys in the promotion of gender equality. The project is being implemented in six regional states of Ethiopia (Addis Ababa, Amhara, Dire Dawa, Oromia, SNNPR and Tigray) focusing on gender issues in (a) the workplace, (b) schools and communities, and (c) the media. To this end, IA will be running a tender process with the intention of awarding a contract for the provision mid-term evaluation of this project.

Consulting firms wishing to express their interest should submit their profiles via email address:  beruk.w@initiativeafrica.net. The EOI must include a contact name, company name. company address, phone, email address and letter to briefly explain your proposal. Copy of relevant legal documents should also be enclosed.

Tender documents: Only shortlisted firms will be provided with the TOR. Submissions/ EOI that do not fully include the required documents, as well as late submissions, will be disqualified for the shortlist.

Closing date: the closing date for this expression of interest is December 31. 2019 at 5:00 PM.
